The Story Starts…Again

My restart story goes back to November 2022 when I received a diagnosis of Combined Type ADHD. I’d originally been put forward by my GP in May 2020 to the neurodevelopmental team within my local area for an Autism Assessment. The waiting list for this was and still is very long but I had read about a particular provider contracted for supplying ADHD assessments in my area. I asked the GP if they could approach this service for doing an Autism Assessment, this seemed to me a cheaper option than paying me to be off sick from my NHS role.
I actually didn’t expect my ADHD diagnosis if I’m honest. I didn’t even know that ADHD and ASD could exist together and this is where my story starts. Again, to stress, starts again.
